Ronnie "Wolfdawg" Wolfenberger <- Click name to email

Ronnie, a native Houstonian, grew up in a musically inclined family on both his mother's and father's side.  He started playing drums at the age of 8 and had the opportunity to sit in and play gigs with bands that both his uncle and cousin played with. in and around Brenham, TX. He was addicted right away. The bands played country and rock and it is easy to see which Ronnie preferred. His early influences were Eric Clapton, Foghat, Ted Nugent, Cheap Trick, Kiss, Peter Frampton, and Foreigner to name a few.

During junior high, Ronnie played for parties with friends and during that time he decided he also wanted to play guitar so he took that up as well. Wolfdawg has learned all of the instruments he plays by ear and isn't sure if that is a blessing or a curse; he sometimes wishes he had taken formal lessons. None the less, he just wanted to rock and roll and that's what he did. In high school, he formed a band called Rational that played everything from Iron Maiden, Ozzy, and Judas Priest to The Outfield and Pat Benatar. They also played some originals.  Rational played high school parties and mostly practiced and jammed, all the while having fun.

Ronnie met Glen "Sweet" Miller when Glen came to a Rational band practice to audition Ronnie to join his band at the time, Infinity as a guitarist/backup vocalist, and from then it was on. Infinity opened up a whole new world for Ronnie; he had never worked with such a diverse vocalist as "Sweet" that could even sing songs from his favorite band, Journey. When Infinity broke up, each took a few years off then decided they couldn't give it up all together. Wolfdawg says, "It's in your blood." So they decided to reform and give it another try strictly for fun and hopefully lots of it. They just wanted to be the best band that they could be. One problem arose. They needed a bass player, so Wolfdawg decided it was time to learn how to play bass and the rest is history... Wattzit2ya was born.

Ronnie has a strong love and commitment to family, friends, music and is an avid hunter/outdoorsman. He spends the majority of his time with his wife Julie and his two beautiful daughters Taylor and Madison who are 3 and 1 years old respectively. Wolfdawg is an avid bow hunter and along the way has become personal friends with Ted Nugent and had the opportunity to go hunting with him where Ronnie harvested a Corsican ram. Wolfdawg's philosophy remains... "Go to where the pavement ends, get outdoors and back to nature; it will cleanse the soul."
